2020 Gathering - Terms & Conditions
By buying a ticket to Medicine you agree to:
- Only come if you are feeling healthy and well, and have not been experiencing symptoms related to COVID-19
- Only come if you do not have someone vulnerable in your household or social bubble (the group of people with whom you have close physical contact)
- Only come if you do not have someone who is isolating in your household or social bubble
- Allow your contact details to be held by Medicine Events C.I.C for 21 days for the purpose of COVID-19 Track and Trace
- Abide by Government guidelines current at the time of the event (27th-31st August) with regards to public behaviour around COVID-19 (social distancing etc)
- Abide by the House Rules outlined in the FAQs on the Medicine website
- Not bring or consume alcohol on site
- If you have experienced any COVID Symptoms you should self isolate for 10 days.
If there is any breach of the above terms and conditions, Medicine Events C.I.C reserves the right to ask you to leave the site.
COVID-19 FAQ’s

- Will there be social distancing at Medicine?
Yes there will be. The transmission of COVID-19 can be airborne which is why the Government has provided social distancing guidelines. Being aware of and maintaining proper social distancing throughout the event is a crucial aspect of keeping the event safe. Please keep 2m+ apart from other people throughout the event (aside from those in your social bubble).
- What is your policy on face-masks?
We are requesting that the public wear face masks if engaged in any activity related to movement and in close proximity to other individuals (less than 2m). Please carry your face mask with you at all times.
- What is the process of arrival on site?
When you arrive, you will be directed toward the Box Office where your tickets will be scanned and you will pick up your wristband/s. You will then be directed to park and then guided to the relevant campsite to set up your camping area. You will then be able to access the event site if you have your wristband.
- Can I sing?
Government policy has advised limiting singing and shouting where possible, so please be respectful of others in your actions
- How will food be served?
Food will be served on disposable and compostable packaging which will then be disposed of according to our Waste and Sustainability Policy.
- Should I bring cash onsite?
We will have electronic payment systems on site to avoid the need for passing money and we encourage card payments where possible.
- How will I set up my campsite?
Please ensure that you are at least 2m in every direction away from any other tent or live-in vehicle. If in doubt please ask the campsite stewards.
- What is your policy on Track and Trace?
We are required to hold your contact data for 21 days for the purposes of the Government Track and Trace team being able to isolate any outbreak. All data will be held within GDPR and Government guidelines. If you are contacted by the Track and Trace team, you may be asked who you spent time with during the event, so please bear that in mind during the festival.
- Will it be easy for me to wash my hands?
Yes, you will have ready access to hand sanitizer and/or hand-washing.
- I am high risk, can I come?

- I live with someone who is high risk, can I come?
If you live with someone who is high risk we recommend that you don’t come to the event unless you can quarantine in another location for 14 days after the event, so as not to put others in risk.
- I have been feeling ill, should I come?
Please do not come to the event if you are feeling ill.
- I live with someone who is feeling ill, should I come?
COVID-19 is a highly transmissible illness, please don’t risk bringing it to the event if someone close to you, in your household, or who you have spent time with has symptoms
- Will there be testing on site?
We will not be taking tests on entry, but will have a COVID medical team on site to check your temperature should you feel you need it.
- How should I travel to Medicine Festival?
Please try not to come by public transport. It will be much better if you drive or cycle. If you do need to take public transport please ensure social distancing and wear a face mask.
- If I feel ill during the event what should I do?
If you have COVID-19 symptoms please go to our COVID isolation area to be assessed – you may have to go home and isolate.
- Can I dance as normal?
There will be plenty of space to dance, but please social distance with those not in your social bubble, and wear a face mask.
- How do I ensure my children are safe?
Any adult with children is responsible for their own children including ensuring adequate social distancing and that they regularly wash their hands.
- Can I touch and feel different products in the Markets area?
Please only touch something if you are going to buy it and take it away.
GENERAL INFO & OPENING HOURS
- Where is Medicine Festival?
Medicine is hosted amongst beautiful parkland and ancient woodland in a stunning country estate in Berkshire, England, close to London and Heathrow airport.
- When is Medicine Festival?
Medicine will take place between Thursday the 27th and Monday 31st August 2020.
- What are the opening and closing times?
The site will open at midday on Thursday 27th August and close at 4pm on Monday 31st August.
- Is Medicine family friendly?
Absolutely – kids are very welcome.
- Are dogs allowed?
Pet dogs are not allowed on site. However service dogs are allowed.
FOOD & DRINK
- Is the festival vegan /vegetarian-friendly?
Medicine is a vegetarian event so here will be a wide range of nutritious vegan and vegetarian food available.
- Can I bring my own food and drink?
There will be many delicious food options on site. However, you are welcome to bring your own food and drink in moderation. As we do not serve alcohol we rely on other F&B sales so please keep this in mind and support!
- Will you sell alcohol?
We do not wish to profit from the commercial sale of alcohol, so we will not be selling any alcohol at the event.
- Are plastic water bottles allowed?
We have banned single use plastics on site. Please bring your own refillable water bottle. There will be water stations on site.
- I have a nut / dairy allergy – what should I do?
Inform any food or drink vendor of your allergy and they can advise you of what you can eat or drink.
TICKETS
- How much does a ticket cost?
Tickets are now on sale for £175 plus booking fee. This price will not change, however we now have a smaller capacity so are likely to sell out so don’t wait to buy your ticket :)
Low income tickets are available for students or those who cannot afford a full price ticket. Please contact us if you would like to apply for one.

- I have an enquiry about tickets – who do I contact?
- I have a ticket for 2020 but can’t come – can I get a refund?
We do not offer refunds unless we cancel the event as we rely on the sales to make this year happen under these challenging circumstances. You can exchange the name on your ticket / sell it on, or it will also be valid in 2021.
- If you cancel this year do you offer refunds?
Yes if we cancel you will be entitled to a full refund.
- If I leave the site can I re-enter?
Yes as long as you have your wristband.
- Can I change the name on my ticket?
Yes – please email us via the contact us form with the details of the name change.
- Are there any age restrictions?
There are no restrictions on age. Medicine is a family orientated festival for every age group.
- I’ve lost my wristband – what can I do?
Unfortunately, wristbands cannot be replaced under any circumstances.
- Can I come for the day?
You can come for as much or as little time as you like.
- Do you offer refunds?
We sadly cannot offer refunds as we rely on the ticket sales to fund our first year operations to make it all possible.
FACILITIES
- Is there disabled access?
Yes. Please let us know in advance if you need any special assistance. We also have a disabled toilet and shower on site.
- Are there toilets?
Yes we have toilets on the festival site.
- Are there showers on site?
Yes there are showers in the campsites.
- Are there cashpoints on site?
There are no cashpoints on site, but most points of sale will take cards.
- Can I bring my live-in vehicle?
Yes we have space for camper vans etc, but you need to buy a separate vehicle ticket here.
TRAVEL
- Where is Medicine Festival?
Medicine is hosted in Berkshire, 45 minutes from London and 25 minutes from Reading. The nearest train stations are Midgham, Aldermaston and Thatcham.
- How do I get to the festival?
Please follow the postcode RG7 4LY to get to site
- Is there parking at the venue?
Yes we have plenty of parking, although we encourage car sharing with those in your social bubble wherever possible. To park your car costs £15.
- Can I bring my live-in vehicle?
Yes we have space for camper vans etc, but you need to buy a separate vehicle ticket here.
- Are there shuttles running from the station?
Due to COVID requirements we will not be running public shuttles from the station.
ACCOMMODATION
- Where can I stay?
You can bring your own tent, stay in your live-in vehicle, stay in boutique camping or in the luxury rooms on site.

Yes we have a beautiful campsite.
